Welcome back from Headteacher Ms Atcha & Executive Headteacher Mr Fletcher

Dear Families and Belle Vue Community,

A very warm welcome back to all our returning families, and a special welcome to our new Year 7 pupils and their families joining our community for the first time!

Starting a new school year is always a moment of great promise. At Co-op Academy Belle Vue, our goal remains simple: to unlock the potential of every young person by providing expert knowledge, strong character values, and a safe, welcoming environment where everyone can thrive.

We believe that education is about helping pupils succeed in life, not just in school. Guided by our CARE principles - Co-operation, Community, Achievement, Ambition, Responsibility, Respect, Enjoyment and Endeavour we set high expectations so our young people grow into confident, responsible global citizens.

Thank you for partnering with us and trusting us with your children's education. Together, we are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Warm regards,

Ms Atcha (Headteacher) & Mr Fletcher (Executive Headteacher)

Celebrating Our First Platinum Award Winner!

At Co-op Academy Belle Vue, we believe in celebrating the extraordinary effort, dedication, and character our pupils show every single day. This term, we launched our exciting Platinum Challenge to reward students who go above and beyond in every aspect of academy life.

We are thrilled to announce our very first Platinum Award winner for September! To recognise this incredible achievement, our lucky winner was presented with a brand-new PlayStation 5. A massive congratulations to Ameera in 7I

Earning a spot in the monthly Platinum draw is no small feat. To qualify, pupils must demonstrate total commitment to their education and our CARE principles. That means achieving 100% attendance, completing 100% of their independent learning, earning at least 300 merits, having zero lates, and receiving no CARE detentions. It takes real endeavour, self-discipline, and ambition to hit every single one of these goals across a full month.

We are immensely proud of our winner and every pupil who strived towards the Platinum standard this month. Your hard work sets an inspiring example for our whole school community.

The challenge does not stop here, though! A new month brings a fresh chance for every single pupil to shine. For October, our next Platinum Award winner will be riding away with a brand-new mountain bike.

Keep up the fantastic work, stay focused, and let’s see who will take home next month’s top prize!

Celebrating National Success: Our Attendance Achievement

We are thrilled to share some wonderful national recognition for our academy!

The Fischer Family Trust (FFT) has awarded Co-op Academy Belle Vue multiple National School Attendance Awards for the 2025/26 academic year.

Thanks to the dedication of our pupils, staff, and families, Belle Vue achieved a spot in the:

Top 10% of all secondary schools in England for attendance across the 2025/26 academic year.
Top 10% of similar secondary schools in England.
Top 10% most improved secondary schools in the country.

Our community's strong commitment was clear right to the end of the year, with our academy also securing top 10% status nationally and among similar schools during the 2025/26 Summer Term.

Every day in school counts. Good attendance builds strong friendships, helps pupils stay on track with learning, and opens doors to future success. Thank you to all our parents and carers for making sure our young people arrive ready to learn every single day.

Our Year 8 podcast group had a very special guest this week! ???

As part of their enrichment programme, pupils interviewed Green Party MP Hannah Spencer. They wrote every question themselves and led the interview with incredible confidence. ??

Mr Howarth, Head of Year 8, said he was blown away by their BBC-quality interviewing skills! ??

We are so proud of their ambition and hard work.

"I was blown away by their confidence and abilities when asking a real life MP questions that the BBC would’ve been proud of!" said Mr Howarth. "Hannah genuinely couldn’t believe that I had no input and the questions were all their own work!"

Enrichment activities like our podcast club give pupils a platform to find their voice, build self-belief, and develop real-world skills for future careers. Taking on a high-profile interview with such professionalism shows the high levels of ambition and independence our young people possess.

Record-Breaking Open Evening Showcases The Belle Vue Difference

We were delighted to welcome hundreds of local families to our recent Open Evening. It was our busiest open event yet, with record-breaking attendance numbers showing that Year 7 places at Co-op Academy Belle Vue are set to be in high demand once again.

The evening was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our academy, our community, and most importantly, our wonderful pupils. Over 120 of our students voluntarily stayed behind after school to take part in English, Science, Maths, and CARE lessons. They welcomed prospective families with confidence, warmth, and huge smiles, proving themselves to be brilliant ambassadors for our school.

During the event, Principal Mr Fletcher and Ms Atcha gave presentations explaining The Belle Vue Difference. They shared how our calm environment, high standards, and caring culture help every young person unlock their potential and develop strong character traits to become successful global citizens.

It was inspiring to hear the excitement from visiting children throughout the night. One Year 6 pupil shared that they cannot wait to join Belle Vue and are particularly looking forward to earning lots of badges for their hard work.

We would like to send a massive thank you to all the families who visited us, and to our outstanding student helpers who made the evening so special. We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 cohort next year!
