A Celebration of Half-Term Success and Exciting Times Ahead
Dear Families and Belle Vue Community,
As we wrap up another fantastic half term at Co-op Academy Belle Vue, I want to say a huge thank you to all of our families for your ongoing support. Working together with you is what makes our school community so special. Thanks to our pupils' hard work and your encouragement at home, our school attendance is well above the national average. We are also continuing to grow, welcoming another 120 students to our Belle Vue family this term, a clear sign that as our school expands, our community only gets stronger.
We have so much to look forward to when we return after the break! Our Christmas celebrations will begin on 2nd November, our Year 11 pupils will be taking their very important GCSE mock exams, and our younger pupils in Years 7, 8, and 9 (Key Stage 3) have an exciting bowling trip ahead, alongside lots of wonderful learning.
We would love to invite all parents to our Coffee Morning on Wednesday 11th November at 9:15 AM. This will be a wonderful opportunity to catch up over a warm drink and learn more about what we have been up to as a school. We will be sharing key updates on our upcoming assessment schedules, enrichment opportunities, reward schemes, and our expectations for independent learning. Whether you have questions or simply want to connect with the school community, we look forward to seeing you there! Celebrating Our Students: Outstanding Academic Results at Co-op Academy Belle Vue
At Co-op Academy Belle Vue, we believe every child in East Manchester deserves an exceptional education. Today, we are delighted to share some wonderful news about our students’ academic success.
An amazing 80.4% of Belle Vue students achieved grade 4 or above in both English and Maths. This is 15.6% higher than the national average and 18.1% above the average for schools across Manchester. Achieving a grade 4 or above represents a strong pass that opens up vital opportunities for further study, college courses, and future careers.
Across all subjects, our overall achievement score reached 53.6. This is 8.1 points higher than the national average of 46.2 and 8.67 points higher than the average for Manchester schools. These fantastic results reflect the incredible hard work and progress our pupils make every day.
These achievements are a true example of "The Belle Vue Difference." They show what can happen when clear expectations, expert teaching, and calm, supportive classrooms come together. Every single day, our pupils show great ambition and determination in their learning, guided by our dedicated staff and supported by encouraging families at home.
We could not be prouder of our young people. Success like this is built on teamwork, dedication, and shared community pride. Thank you to all our parents and carers for your ongoing partnership and trust. Together, we are helping our young people unlock their full potential and build bright futures.

The festive period is always a special milestone in our school calendar. Over the coming weeks, our young people will take part in a variety of festive activities designed to bring everyone together and create lasting memories.
At Belle Vue, we believe school should be a place of warmth, celebration, and shared experiences. Reaching for the Stars: Belle Vue Pupils Inspired by Professor Brian Cox at Co-op Live
Our pupils recently had an incredible opportunity to visit Co-op Live for a live lecture by world-famous physicist Professor Brian Cox.
It was an inspiring event that took our young people on a journey through the wonders of physics, space, and the universe. The lecture stretched our pupils’ scientific understanding, pushing their curiosity and encouraging them to think big about the world around them. Opportunities like this help show our young people that there are no limits to what they can learn and achieve.
We could not be prouder of how our pupils conducted themselves throughout the visit. They represented Co-op Academy Belle Vue impeccably, showing outstanding respect, maturity, and focus. Their exemplary behaviour made the trip a joy for staff and a proud moment for our entire school community.
At Belle Vue, we believe in giving our young people world-class experiences that build both their expert knowledge and their character. Seeing our pupils engage with complex science right on our doorstep here in Manchester was a wonderful reflection of what "The Belle Vue Difference" is all about.
Thank you to our staff for organising this experience, and well done to all the pupils who took part and represented our academy family with such pride!

Lights, Camera, Action: Belle Vue Pupils Direct Real Media Adverts at Manchester College
Our pupils recently stepped into the world of creative industry during a hands-on media workshop at Manchester College. Working in team groups, they took on a real-world challenge: designing and filming a complete advertisement for a water bottle company.
From start to finish, our young people demonstrated impressive focus and imagination. They put their classroom knowledge into practice by planning storyboards, choosing camera angles, and deciding on camera movements for their scenes. Working side-by-side with Year 12 college students, our pupils even directed the shot sequences and provided a full list of editing notes to refine their final adverts.
The staff and students at Manchester College were deeply impressed by our pupils. They praised their fantastic, original ideas and highlighted their exemplary behaviour throughout the entire day.
This visit was a brilliant opportunity for our young people to see how their knowledge connects to real career pathways in media and production. They have returned to school full of fresh ideas, practical skills, and creative inspiration to bring into their own academy projects.
We are incredibly proud of how maturely our pupils represented Co-op Academy Belle Vue, proving once again that when given the opportunity to show their ambition, our young people truly shine.

An Unforgettable Night of Live Music at The Bridgewater Hall
Our music pupils recently enjoyed an incredible evening out at Manchester’s iconic Bridgewater Hall to watch a live performance by African Soul Rebels. It was an amazing opportunity for our young people to experience high-quality live music right here in our city.
The performance was truly inspiring, filling the hall with energetic rhythms and dynamic talent. Our pupils were completely captivated by the music from start to finish. The atmosphere was so catching that even some of our Year 11 pupils got up and joined in with the dancing!
Beyond enjoying the music, our young people represented Co-op Academy Belle Vue with pride. Their behaviour was exemplary throughout the entire evening, showing outstanding respect for the venue, the performers, and the wider public.
Outings like this give our pupils the chance to experience rich cultural events, broaden their creative understanding, and build memories that last a lifetime.
A big thank you to all the dedicated staff members who worked hard behind the scenes to arrange transport, organise meals, and give up their evening to make this memorable experience possible for our pupils.

A Historic Start: Year 7 Boys Football Team Triumph in League Debut
On Friday, our Year 7 boys football team put on the Co-op Academy Belle Vue shirt for their very first league match of the season against Manchester Academy. It was an exciting and proud moment as they stepped onto the pitch to represent our school community for the first time.
The boys delivered a brilliant performance, earning a fantastic 3-0 victory! Goals from Gamal, Osa, and Qusai sealed the win, but it was the team's hard work, determination, and teamwork throughout the entire game that made all the difference.
Keeping a clean sheet, not letting in a single goal, on their very first match is a brand-new Belle Vue record. Achieving this at league level takes real focus and commitment, and the boys showed incredible character from start to finish. They looked out for one another, played with respect, and put in maximum effort for their teammates.
Wearing our academy colours is a special milestone for our young people. Seeing our Year 7 pupils represent Belle Vue with such pride, sportsmanship, and excellence shows what our school family is all about.
Huge congratulations to the team on making school history! We are all behind you as you continue your football journey this season.

Thrilling 3-2 Victory for Belle Vue in the Manchester Cup
Our pupils delivered a fantastic display of teamwork, determination, and talent as they kicked off Round 1 of the Manchester Cup against Burnage. In an exciting and closely fought match, our Belle Vue team secured a hard-earned 3-2 victory to advance to the next round!
The match was full of energy and skill from start to finish. Isa led the attack with two brilliant goals, while Murtaza added a crucial third goal to seal the win. Every player gave their absolute all on the pitch, working together and encouraging one another through every minute of the game. A special shoutout goes to Reuben, who was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance and leadership throughout the contest.
At Co-op Academy Belle Vue, we believe that taking part in sports is about much more than just the score on the board. Representing our academy gives our pupils the opportunity to build resilience, practice teamwork, and develop confidence that carries over into their everyday learning. The focus and endeavour shown by our team on the pitch reflected the high standards we encourage across our school community every day.
Winning in the first round of a competitive local tournament is a proud milestone for our young people and our school family. Seeing our pupils work so hard for each other shows the true strength of our Belle Vue community spirit.
Huge congratulations to the entire team on a brilliant performance! We look forward to cheering the boys on in the next round.
