On Friday, our Year 7 boys football team put on their Co-op Academy Belle Vue shirts for the very first time to play in their first league match against Manchester Academy. It was a proud moment for our school community as the pupils stepped onto the pitch to represent our colours.

The team showed incredible hard work and determination right from the first whistle. Their teamwork paid off with an outstanding 3-0 victory, thanks to fantastic goals from Gamal, Osa, and Qusai.

Earning a 3-0 win is impressive on its own, but the boys achieved something even more special. By keeping the opposition from scoring, they kept a clean sheet—setting a brand-new Belle Vue record for a debut league game! Keeping a clean sheet at this level is never easy, making their effort all the more remarkable.

Throughout the match, the team demonstrated our CARE principles in action. They showed great endeavour through their relentless effort and worked together as a true team to support one another on the pitch.

We are delighted to see our Year 7s representing the academy with such pride, sportsmanship, and excellence. Moments like these build character, confidence, and strong friendships that extend far beyond the pitch.

Huge congratulations to the entire squad on a brilliant start to the season. We cannot wait to see what they achieve next!
