Year 10 Media Students Showcase Creativity at Manchester College
Our Year 10 pupils recently visited Manchester College for an exciting, hands-on media workshop. Stepping outside the classroom gave our young people a fantastic opportunity to test their creative skills in a real college setting and explore future career pathways.
During the session, pupils were tasked with creating a complete video advert for a water bottle company. Working in small teams, they took charge of the entire pre-production process. They planned storyboards, chose specific camera angles and movements, and filmed their scenes before giving detailed editing notes to the college students supporting them.
Staff and Year 12 students at Manchester College were full of praise for our Year 10s. They highlighted the pupils' brilliant original ideas, strong subject knowledge, and fantastic behaviour throughout the day.
By working together, supporting one another, and pushing their creative limits, our pupils put our CARE principles into practice. They showed great ambition and co-operation while representing Belle Vue with pride.
Our young media creators returned to school full of inspiration and practical techniques that will boost their upcoming media projects in the classroom. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication to learning!
