Co-op Academies Trust has been selected by Manchester City Council and the Department of Education to open a new secondary free school in Belle Vue.

A ‘free school’ is the term used to describe a new school that is opening. The school will be an academy, meaning that it is governed by a Trust.

The Department of Education requires all new schools to consult with local residents, groups and businesses prior to opening.
