Year 8 Students Inspired by Visit to Manchester University

A group of enthusiastic Year 8 students from Co-op Academy Belle Vue recently had the exciting opportunity to visit Manchester University for a day packed with learning, creativity, and inspiration.
The visit began with a guided tour of the university campus, where students explored key buildings and gained a valuable insight into university life. From libraries to lecture theatres, they got a real taste of what it’s like to study at one of the UK’s leading institutions.
Following the tour, students took part in a fun and competitive quiz that tested their knowledge of higher education. The afternoon saw them team up with university student ambassadors to take on a creative challenge: designing a product or service that could make a positive impact on the world. Each group then presented their ideas to a panel of university staff, showcasing their innovation, teamwork, and communication skills.
The day was not only a chance to experience life beyond secondary school, but also a brilliant opportunity to raise aspirations and build confidence.
A huge thank you to Miss Osbourne for organising the visit and making it such a memorable experience for our students.
