Young Musician of the Year - Congratulations Sam!

Belle Vue's Sam wins Key Stage 3 Instrumentalist award!

We are so proud of Sam (8A) for winning the Key Stage 3 Instrumentalist award at the Co-op Academies Trust's Young Musician of the Year competition.

This is the first year of running the competition, where students from every academy in the Trust could enter. With over 200 submissions from young people in Stoke-on-Trent, the Wirral, Greater Manchester, Bradford & Leeds, the talent was magnificent to see. There was wide range of  singers, pianists, instrumentalists, drummers and bands entering.

Sam performed The Greatest Showman's 'Never Enough' singing and playing the piano.

Sam has been passionate about music since he was three years old, when his mother taught him to sing as soon as he could speak. Inspired by his older brother, he also took up playing the piano, learning from him. Since joining Belle Vue, Sam has been taught by Miss James, who has played a pivotal role in developing his talents. Sam expressed how Miss James has significantly boosted his confidence and supported his ambitions. We are immensely proud that Sam won the Key Stage 3 Instrumentalist award, and we eagerly anticipate his future achievements as he continues to pursue his aspirations.

I loved the experience, it taught me how to perform in front of a big audience in a professional venue. Next, I will be learning the guitar!
