At Co-op Academy Belle Vue, our Key Stage 3 assessment framework turns student potential into successful outcomes. We monitor progress through three key methods: Powerful Knowledge Assessments for current topics, Knowledge Expert Assessments for factual recall, and cumulative Achievement Assessments for long-term retention.
Central to our approach is the Feedback Cycle. Following every assessment, teachers provide Endeavour Reports to identify specific learning gaps, which are then addressed through targeted improvement lessons and retrieval practice to build long-term memory.
We value parental partnership in this journey. Families support student success by ensuring the completion of daily Knowledge Expert retrieval practice and weekly Independent Learning tasks. All necessary resources, including Knowledge Expert sheets, are easily available to students via the Student Portal.
